We will let you know the reason for collecting your personal information at or before the time your information is collected. Personal information may be collected for purposes such as:

National Call Centre: When you contact our National Call Centre to make a purchase or to request to receive our promotional materials, we collect your name, mailing address, phone number and credit card information. We use this information to process your order and send you our promotional materials. We may also use your phone or fax number, email or mailing address to contact you if we have any questions about your order.

Online: When you make a purchase online at www.princessauto.com, we collect your name, address, phone number, email address and credit card information. We use this information to process your order. If you have also requested that you would like to receive our promotional materials, we use your name, address and email address (if applicable) to fulfill this request.

In-Store: When you visit a store, we ask you for your name, address, phone number and email address. We use this information to send you our promotional materials (if you opt in) and to facilitate returns without a receipt. For prepaid merchandise in the store, we require to see identification of the person picking up the order. We do this to protect our Customers and ourselves from fraud, and ask our Customers to inform the people they have picking up the order that this will be required.

Surveys: When you fill out a survey, we ask you for your address, age, gender, ethnic origin, opinions, evaluations, comments, and occupation. We use this information to understand our customers’ wants and needs, and improve our customers’ experiences with us.

Video Surveillance Systems - In order to keep Princess Auto facilities operating in a safe and secure manner, we use closed circuit television and digital recorders in our stores.

Social Media - We may offer you the opportunity to engage with our content on or through third-party social networking websites, plug-ins and applications. When you engage with our content this way, you may allow us to have access to certain information associated with your social media account, (e.g. name, username, e-mail address, photos) in accordance with your social media privacy settings to deliver the content or as part of the operation of the website, plug-in or application. We may use this information to confirm your identity and to personalize your experience on our website or mobile app and on the third-party social networking websites, plug-ins and applications.

** Cookies are small files that may be placed on your hard drive by a website without your knowledge in order to monitor your use of the site. Princess Auto uses "persistent" and "session" cookies to monitor usage of its websites. The cookies we use do not allow us to identify individuals. Google Analytics – Princess Auto uses Google Analytics, a Web analytics service provided by Google Inc. to help measure traffic patterns to, from, and within its public websites. This analytics measurement tool uses "session" and "persistent" cookies to collect standard Internet log information and to track visitor behaviour information in an anonymous form.
